|Charley and Max in Townsend, TN
Meet Charley and Max, 2+ year old neutered male Tibetan Terrier siblings. Unfortunately after a major move and lifestyle change, their human can no longer care for them properly. We are looking for an experienced TT home with a large fenced yard, no young children and someone who is around more often than not. Max does resource guard his food so a home that is savvy with the utilization of crates is a must. As you can see these boys are very bonded and will not be separated - don't' ask!
Please fill out an application if interested in adopting this pair.
Also be prepared to provide a vet reference, two non-personal personal references and be open to a home visit. There also will be an adoption fee.

|Pal in Loveland, Colorado (Adoption Pending)
This is a Courtesy Post and description is written by a family member
Pal is a pure bred Tibetan Terrier. His birthday is 12/9/09. My Mom adopted him 3 years ago. He had been returned due to scratching his eyes constantly, excessive drinking and crying when left alone so they marked him as "special needs". He has been a great companion for my Mom and they used to take lots of walks before her health suddenly declined. He is great on a leash until he sees a bunny. He needs to be reeled in and corrected and then is back to walking great.
Pal had allergies. We tried several resolutions but didn't find one until recently when we changed his food to Natural Balance L.I.D. Fish & Sweet Potato. He loves it and his symptoms have vanished. He had previously been on a chicken diet so we eliminated all chicken as well, even treats.
Pal has been doing great with one of my dogs, Lilly. She is submissive so I think that is why it works. They play but he can get a little too intense at time and I have to distract him to calm down. He goes to doggy daycare and seems to love the pack he is usually with. He does not like my older male dog and challenges him constantly.
Pal does not like being left alone and has separation anxiety. I tried all kinds of "calming" sprays and oils but nothing seemed to help. He also is not happy when he goes to the groomer or vet. After meeting with a trainer they suggested a doggie Prozac. The vet first tried fluoxitine but it had a bad reaction with his heart. We weened him off and started Clomicalm which has been great. At his last visit to the vet he was like a different dog. His vet was very happy with the results.
We keep his hair clipped as it can mat even with brushing. He needs a groomer that can handle him because he doesn't like his legs or paws clipped. I have had to finish his grooming when he comes home from the vet because he trusts me.
Pal loves to cuddle with his human and basically be by your side the whole day. He also loves his toys and can be a bit of a toy hog when other pups are around. He loves to give kisses and knows how to sit and down for a treat. He also loves his walks and can go for nice long walks.
He can jump a 5 foot fence no problem so he needs to be on leash in the yard. He has usually been in search of bunnies when he has jumped at my house.
NO young children or cats.
He is up to date on all of his shots, neutered and just tested negative for heartworm.
|Eli in New Jersey
Meet Eli, who is neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and is almost 2 years old. Eli was rescued from an animal cruelty and neglect case as a young puppy. He is a fun loving, outgoing young boy in his current environment. Although Eli loves to play with other dogs— we are looking for him to be the one and only due to some resource guarding issues he has with other dogs.
Eli loves men especially but will happily go to anyone who will give him attention. No city life for this boy — as he was a bit too stressed during a recent evaluation. Eli's ideal home would be with someone who is home more often than not and who will spend a lot of time with him. We think he would make an outstanding agility dog or obedience dog. A 6 foot fenced yard is a must and is not negotiable.
Due to his resource guarding with other dogs Eli will NOT be placed in a home with small children
Please be prepared to provide a vet reference and 2 non-family personal references. A home visit will also be required.

|Sasha and Chelsea in New Fairfield, CT
Sasha and Chelsea are two darling girls who are still in need of a home. Their human mom passed away about 2 months ago but sadly she did not make any arrangements for her girls Sasha and Chelsea.
Sasha is 14 years old and Chelsea is 8 years old. Both came with some medical issues (nothing major) but they are now healthy dogs. They both take some supplements (nothing expensive) that has made a huge difference in their well being. They are both good with other dogs.
Chelsea is absolutely adorable. She is very smart, funny, loves to snuggle, loves toys, playing games and going for walks. She also likes to hog the dog beds in the house (so beware ).
Sasha is a love-bug. She loves to sit in your lap and let you give her kisses on her head as she snuggles her head under your chin. She has the most expressive and beautiful big brown eyes and She does a happy dance after she eats.
These girls will thrive with someone who is around more often than not and a fenced yard is a must. These girls are absolutely delightful and any home that is approved to adopt would be very lucky.
If you are interested in adopting Sasha and Chelsea, please be prepared to proved a vet reference, 2 non-family personal references, and a home visit. In addition, please fill out an application.

|Jazz and Hanna in Seal Beach, CA (Adoption Pending)
|Looking for foster to adopt/permanent home for Jazz (10) and Hanna (5). This mother/daughter pair was surrendered to the shelter when their owner was jailed. These girls are a bonded pair, and love being back in a home environment. Both girls have quickly bonded with their foster mom and love to snuggle. It seems as though Jazz is not overly crazy about other dogs but that may change as she gets over her trauma of being abandoned. The girls are safe in foster care but it would be best for them to be in a quieter household. Both girls are spayed, up to date on vaccines and Jazz just had a dental and her mouth feels so much better. Please dont ask for them to be separated — what is good for you is NOT good for them.
If interested please fill out an online application
Also be prepared to provide a vet reference and 2 non-family personal references. A home visit will also be required.
Adoption fee $300.00
